Pushing Daisies is a cute fairy tale. The characters are quirky and nice, the dialogues are interesting and not realistic, the colors are bright. There’s plenty of other minor and amusing bits, which make the series pretty wonderful when they are put together.
Though there are goofs, at least some of which are pointed out on IMDB, they can be ignored rather easily, since the fantasy bits are explained plainly as “magic”, not “sci-fi”.
The story revolves around the pie maker, who is also a necromancer. He applies his skills to revive products for pies, and to assist a private investigator in the forensics by reviving dead people and asking who killed them.
It is well worth watching.
